About Us

From a small horse box in the Catskills to the heart of New York City, a family journey built on real pizza, hard work, and community continues at The Pizza Box NY.

From a Horse Box to Bleecker Street Pizza

The Pizza Box NY started with years of making pizza from scratch and hosting local fundraisers that sold out fast. In Coxsackie, NY, an old horse box became the start of something bigger. With a strong frame and worn walls, it was rebuilt by hand. Melanie took on welding and repairs, Michael refined recipes, and Max learned the wood-fired oven. Today, that same family work lives on at 176 Bleecker St, New York, NY 10012, serving NYC pizza.

Built on Family Work and Real Ingredients

The Pizza Box NY grew through hard work and a clear goal—serve real pizza made the right way. Our dough is made from scratch with a 72-hour process, paired with organic tomatoes and quality toppings. In the Catskills, we focused on farm-to-table pies that used local, seasonal items. That same approach guides our pizza shop today. Each pie reflects our roots, our process, and our focus on doing things with care.
Growing with the Community, One Event at a Time

Growing with the Community, One Event at a Time

The Pizza Box NY built its name step by step. In 2021, pop-ups helped introduce our pizza to new guests. In 2022, private catering and small events followed. By 2023 and 2024, we served at weddings, reunions, and after-parties. In 2025, we opened our first shop in New York City, bringing our pizza to the heart of the city. Guests visit for honest NYC pizza, a family-run story, and a place that keeps things simple and real.
